Chickenpox and shingles both come from a single virus of the eight viruses of the herpes family, called Varicella-Zoster Virus.

“Mono and cold sores also are the types of herpes virus.”

Herpes zoster virus can lie sleeping in the nerve roots and later in life causes the Herpes Zoster virus also known as Shingles.

Herpes chicken pox causes itchy blisters or rash on affected area mainly on the trunk, face and scalp and in small quantity on the limbs. The Shingle, on the other hand, is a painful skin rash appears in a form of strip or band on one side of the body or face. Herpes shingle mostly happens with the adult having a weak immune system because of injury, stress, medicines or other reason.

Chicken Pox Treatment – Alternative Medicine

Oatmeal is very effective in treating chicken pox because of its antiviral and antibacterial properties. It quickens the process of drying the blisters and reduces the inflammation and itching sensation.

“Oatmeal also reduces the fever that happens during chickenpox infection.”

The oatmeal soaked bath after the chickenpox cured reduces the risk of reproduction of the infection and reduces the marks of chicken pox. Oatmeal, when used internally, can boost the immune system and stops the reproduction of the virus.

There are different ways to use oatmeal to treat chicken pox,

“simply take the paste of oatmeal and applied directly to the affected area.”

The oatmeal bath gives relief from chickenpox and gives the soothing effect to the itching. Just takes oatmeal, grind them and make a powder and mix it in warm water, and sips the body in this water for fifteen minutes.
